Journey Back to the Era of the Warring States
In an era when powerful feudal lords dominated various parts of Japan, the Oku-Mikawa region was home to the influential local warriors known as the Sanho-shu of Yamaie. Surrounded by formidable lords like the Imagawa and Takeda to the east and the Oda and Matsudaira to the west, this area was a hotbed of shifting allegiances, as families strove for survival, sometimes even splitting into enemy and ally factions within the same kin. The course of history began to shift in 1575 (Tensho 3), when Sadamasa Okudaira entered Nagashino Castle as a retainer of the Tokugawa clan.

Experience the Four Seasons of Shinshiro
Known as the 'Arashiyama of Mikawa', Sakurabuchi Park is a famous spot for cherry blossoms, and the beautiful autumn leaves of Horaiji Mountain, among others, offer a chance to enjoy the scenery of each season throughout the city, from plum blossoms and fresh greenery to colorful autumn leaves.
There's a wealth of activities that make the most of the magnificent natural surroundings, ensuring visitors are never short of captivating experiences.
The Battle of Nagashino and Shitaragahara, set in Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture, is famous for the conflict in May 1575 between the 38,000-strong alliance of Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu, and Takeda Katsuyori's army of 15,000. Nobunaga's renowned tactics using gunmen behind fences and earthworks to confront Takeda's cavalry led to the victory of the Oda-Tokugawa forces
This plan offers an immersive experience of the life and preparations of Shinshiro's peasant soldiers and foot soldiers of that era, leading up to and including the battle.
You'll step into a scene from the Battle of Nagashino and Shitaragahara, following a scripted story, acting out the events as they unfold.
A professional filming crew and extras will also be involved, capturing these memorable battle scenes on camera for a lasting memory.

With the recent resurgence of the fishing boom, the nature-rich Shinshiro City has seen an increase in people enjoying stream fishing. There are various methods such as lure, fly, myak fishing, and tenkara fishing, and we have opened a managed fishing area where everyone can easily enjoy these techniques.
Even those who find it challenging to fish in streams can easily catch fish at the managed fishing area with guidance on fishing techniques.
This time, we have developed a product introducing 'Tenkara', the simplest yet profound traditional Japanese fishing method. Tenkara fishing, using only a rod and fly, invites you to experience the simplicity and challenge of finding your spot in the mountains and casting your line.
