Journey Back to the Era of the Warring States

In an era when powerful feudal lords dominated various parts of Japan, the Oku-Mikawa region was home to the influential local warriors known as the Sanho-shu of Yamaie. Surrounded by formidable lords like the Imagawa and Takeda to the east and the Oda and Matsudaira to the west, this area was a hotbed of shifting allegiances, as families strove for survival, sometimes even splitting into enemy and ally factions within the same kin. The course of history began to shift in 1575 (Tensho 3), when Sadamasa Okudaira entered Nagashino Castle as a retainer of the Tokugawa clan.
